Pies, Cakes, Cookies etc. How do we replicate our faves? Here’s some tips to make the best Gluten Free Thanksgiving Desserts!
It’s that dreaded time of year for gluten free folks. That holiday focused almost entirely around gluten filled delicacies. BUT luckily we’ve come a long way in the gluten free world. There are now TONS of ways to replicate your previous faves and make the best gluten free Thanksgiving desserts!
Easiest Gluten Free Thanksgiving Desserts
For those not ready to try gluten free baking, or if you just want something individualized to bring for yourself, here are a few options.
Katz Gluten Free Personal Pies– Katz gluten free products are seriously amazing! They have everything from donuts, pies, cookies etc. Best part is they are also dairy, soy and nut free! These personal pies are the perfect solution to bring to a Thanksgiving meal. They have a variety of flavors- including apple and pumpkin (although the pumpkin is not available on Amazon currently. It is available in many local grocery stores though like Safeway, Kroger and even Walmart!) They are also incredibly delicious- no compromising on taste here!
Pre-Made Gluten Free Pie Crusts- There are a ton of extremely tasty pre-made gluten free pie crusts. All you need to do is whip up your usual pie recipe, pour and bake! Here are a few of my faves!
Wholly Wholesome Gluten Free Pie Shells– I love these pie crusts! They taste fantastic and they’re allergy friendly- free from the top eight allergens! They are also produced in a dedicated gluten free bakehouse. Definitely a top pick!
Gillian’s Gluten Free Pie Crust- I love the Gillian’s products! They are not only a dedicated gluten free bakehouse- their facility is also nut-free! I love that these are not overly sweet pie crusts and can also be used for quiches. I find that helpful since they come in a pack of two and that’s a great way to use the second!
Mi-Del Graham Style Gluten Free Pie Crust- For those of you who love that graham cracker crust- this is the definite choice! Trust me! I have used this crust repeatedly and never once had anyone able to identify that it was gluten-free! It’s also available in most grocery stores. Good news is that is shelf-stable unlike the other two.
Mid-Level Gluten Free Thanksgiving Desserts
For those willing to bake, without all the fuss- try one of these gluten free crust mixes!
Cup 4 Cup Gluten Free Pie Crust Mix- For a light and flaky pie crust, you really can’t beat Cup 4 Cup. They’re pricy, but for good reason because I do have to say they’re one of the best gluten-free mix companies out there. Their products genuinely taste great and close to their gluten containing counterparts!
King Arthur Gluten Free Pie Crust Mix- I gotta say, King Arthur mixes are the budget best tasting choice! Seriously, have you tried their GF pancake mix yet? I have it on Autoship so there is just always one stocked in my pantry. Their pie crust mix is the same- Great tasting and can even fool the gluten eater!
